We use your medical exam, along with other information, to help us determine your level of health and your rate class, which will determine your premium amount. Each life insurance company has multiple rate classes that determine the risk you represent to the company, and, thus, your premium amount. You will pay the least for the highest rate class, and it's important that you're honest on your application and during the medical exam. If the insurer discovers that you were dishonest during any part of the application process, you risk the company deciding to not provide you with a policy or ending up with an unexpected premium amount.
